So, found out I'm pregnant on Friday. I had to go through hell and back to have my first child, so this was a shock having become pregnant naturally.
Kind of figured I was about 6 weeks. I went to see my IF doctor on Monday and he saw a sac and saw material in the sac (was too hard to see if there was a fetal pole/yolk sac) and thought he *may* have seen a heartbeat. He thought I was pretty dead on with the calculation of a Valentine's Day baby...conceived Feb 14, and that I was 6 weeks Monday. So I left feeling a-okay.
So I got my beta and progesterone levels on Tuesday. Beta was something like 4087 and progesterone was 7.9.
Would you be freaking out? He put me on a progesterone supplement but I have a history of low betas. Anyone remember their beta at 6 weeks or know anyone who had a relatively low beta that early on and still had a successful pregnancy? I know its within range on every website...just seems on the very low end (range is 1000-50000).
im currently on progesterone suppliments... i just started it last night... Crinone...
as far as the beta goes... i have seen sooo many conflicting stories about when its possible to see something and the ranges of beta #'s... id just wait till you see your doc again... i wouldnt even worry about the beta if he thinks he saw something...
considering you really dont know when you conceived, and the fact that they saw a sac and not a heartbeat, i would def guess that you are earlier than you think, hence the low-ish beta. yes, that beta is on the lower end for 6w (although it doesn't seem abnormally low), but it is fine for like 5w or so which it seems could be what you really are since most see a heartbeat after 6w. when do you go back? are you having a second beta in a few days to make sure the numbers are doubling?? good luck!!!!!!!!!!!
