where to look for a shower dress?
where are good places to look for a shower dress? I know I'm early as my shower isn't even booked yet but I looked online at some of the more popular vendors and haven't really seen anything I like. I also don't want to spend $$$$ on something I'll only wear once.
My shower will likely be in July so I'm thinking a summery dress, and I'd like it to be blue or have blue in it. Is it possible to fit into a non-maternity dress at ~33 weeks if it's empire waist, generously cut and stretchy fabric or am I really limited to maternity?

I ordered the dress for my shower from babiesnbellies.com. It was only $36 and exactly what I was looking for. I think their is a picture of it in my album, but they have plenty to select from.

I saw some cute ones in motherhood maternity in the city on 5th ave.
I also need a summery one. I think my shower is in June.

Re: where to look for a shower dress?
I got my dress from Victoria's Secret, just a size bigger then I would normally get. It was a stretchy material. I didn't want a maternity dress because they all made me look huge! Let me see if I can find a pic....
this is the dress: http://www.victoriassecret.com/ss/Satellite?ProductID=1265421353823&c=Page&cid=1297687979444&pagename=vsdWrapper
and this was the best pic of me in it I could find....kindly ignore the cankles!! I had Flinstone feet toward the end! Image Attachment(s):

I was just in the Pea in a Pod store in Macy's Herald Square and OMG - Maternity Clothes Heaven!!!! They definitely had dresses there. I made a mental note to go back when I'm ready to shop for a shower dress.
ETA - I'm also going to check out Nordstrom online. They have some cute stuff too.

Re: where to look for a shower dress?
I was really surprised, but I got mine at Motherhood! I don't have a picture but the dress was perfect. I added a little cardigan that I already had in my closet and was set. Best part was it was under $40.

Re: where to look for a shower dress?
I got mine at Target. I also tried one on that was non-maternity and had an empire waist. I think the only thing to be concerned with there is having enough length.
