Is it normal to request to go see the home before closing?
We are cleared to close and should be closing next week or the week after. We really want to be able to order some furniture now, so that it will be ready for when we move in, but we don't have any measurements.
Did you request to see your house again before closing to measure, or just to see it again?
We literally have no furniture coming with us besides a bed and tv's, so it's important that we start ordering some things.
I feel weird asking...

I don't think it's weird. We visited our current house a few times with family members before closing. Of course, you will likely see it when you do a walk-thru, but that is usually the day before or the day of closing.

We went to our house before the closing for the exact same reason. It was no problem and got us even more excited about the move!

Call your realtor and ask. You will do a final walk through right before closing!

Re: Is it normal to request to go see the home before closing?
Aside from the final walk through (which is usually day of or night before closing), it is not unusual for buyers to request to go back and see the home with their agent again to do things like measure for furniture, get estimates from contractors, etc.
Even if the house is still occupied by the sellers, people usually don't have an issue with it. When I am the listing agent, I certainly don't. Just remember that it is still the sellers' home and treat it as such, and try to give notice of when you want to get in and make it at a convenient time. Also, once is ok, but if the sellers still live there, then you become a pest if you ask to go back several times!
Obviously, you should arrange everything through your agent and the listing agent.

Re: Is it normal to request to go see the home before closing?
Our house was empty when we bought it and we walked through at least 5 times before closing. We brought both sets of parents on 2 different days, we measured windows one day, we measured rooms another day. I'm not sure how it is if the sellers are still living in the house though.

Re: Is it normal to request to go see the home before closing?
I was one of those pain-in-the-a$$ buyers and saw the house as much as possible towards the end. I figured, hell, it's the biggest purchase of my life, so I should be able too.
