Bed rails question

My 3 year old DS is currently in the crib converted to a toddler day bed with a small rail. We are planning on changing him to a full size bed soon. I was thinking about taking the rail off his day bed first and see how he does or do you think at just 3 he is still too little not to have rails? What rails would you recommend? Thanks!

Is he all over the place when he sleeps? DS is 3.5 and I dont see them coming off anytime soon because he flings himself all over the bed.

my kids moved to full size beds at 23 months, and 32 months. I never used bed rails.

Both of their beds are low (one is a platform on the lowest setting, and the other is a boxspring & mattress with no frame). They both are up against one wall.

I think it all depends on the child and how they sleep.

DS is 3 1/2 and we moved him into a regular twin bed about 4 months ago.

We never got bed rails. One side of the bed is against the wall and DS has so many stuffed animals between him and the edge of his bed that there is no way he can possibly fall off!

DS is 3.5 yo. He is finally not all over the place when he sleeps.

I am leaving them on for a while longer.

I got some white wood ones to match his bed.

DD moved to a twin bed with rails at 20m
full sized bed at about 2 yrs old with one rail other side of the bed against the wall
just before 3 i took the baby rail off and moved her bed from the wall
she has been fine with no rails and no wall! just go one step at a time and see how it goes
