For the first time ever I can vote on a school bond.. and its postponed
Totally bummed
Its a $400M bond
Some of which $65M was going to build a new middle school right next to my house (practically).
Our district is so full. The middle school just 8mins from my house (so close) is too full so they push kids to another middle school about 10mins away. That school is also too full from the overflow so they push the kids to another school 10mins away from there, but much farther from where I am.
I was kinda hoping to be able to say "yes" since it would mean AJ would actually go to a pretty darned new Middle School. Odd they intend to build it between me and the existing middle school which is pretty close.

PS: I totally feel for all the teachers there in NY... freezes etc.
Here we have signs on the highways asking for people to BE teachers. We need them. Last Census shows San Antonio with a huge increase. Lots of folks moved into town.
