Queens people, does this type of neighborhood exist?

Thanks everyone! DH and I don't need a ton of property. The main thing is being in a neighborhood without numbered streets and a ton of traffic (which tend to go hand in hand)
off the top of my heads - there are more "name" streets in Jamaica Estates, Holliswood, Malba & Douglaston.
all the areas mentioned have some name streets but I'd say more than 80% of Queens is numbered.

Middle Village is a nice residential area with stores & highways nearby. There's an express bus or the bus/subway thing to Manhattan.
I never heard or noticed that numbered streets have more traffic. I think it's the opposite in Queens: Northern Blvd, Queens Blvd, Steinway Street, Austin Street, Main Street - they are all pretty busy.

I like Middle Village, we have been there for three years. Our next house we would like to look into Forest Hills or Jamaica Estates.

Another vote for the areas near the Port Washington LIRR line. North Flushing, Auburndale, Bayside, Douglaston, Little Neck all have areas that are residential. It's definitely under an hour to midtown, much closer to 30 minutes, although you have to factor in parking in you don't live walking distance to the train. Some people also do the bus/7 train combo but I don't have the patience for that.
On my block, we get very little through-traffic and I can always park right in front of my house if I want to even though I'm on a number street. In fact, the vast majority of streets are numbered but it's a really quiet and residential neighborhood. I'm 4 blocks away from Northern Blvd. and 5 minutes from shopping and stores which makes it the best of both worlds.
Love my neighborhood--a lovely park two blocks away, 50x100 lot sizes, small streets and blocks with mature trees. And all in Queens!

Most of Queens is numbered streets. It's just the way it is set up .... as a PP mentioned, many "named" streets are busy ....
If you look in Whitestone, say 10th Ave & 148th Street, you really won't find a stitch of traffic, except residents, so it's not really a good indicator of how busy a street will be...
