I need hair help..desperately!

Im tired of my hair and the same old crap. Im in desperate need of a hair cut. I want to take some length off, add some layers, but im also considering adding in some hilights.

im low maitenance, so im not sure if i get hilights if i want to keep going to maintain it. what if i dont like it? then i have to grow them out right?

here is a pic of my hair, as good as a shot I can find from xmas. My hair is a lot longer. Im not sure what color hilights to get?? I guess a light blondish?

HELP!!!picture

Hmmm I'd go with a darker blonde color, since your hair seems to be a pretty dark brown.

I'm pretty adventurous with my hair...if I got highlights and didn't like them, I'd buy a box of dye and color over them myself. I always dye and cut my own hair though, so like I said, I'm pretty adventurous lol

Anyway, if you got highlights and didn't like them, you'd probably have to leave them in a few days or so...but after that I believe a salon could fix them for you.

I would get your hair layered (long layers to keep the length) and get warm colored highlights (caramel/honey)..

How attached are you to your lenght? I had hair about the same length as yours, prob even longer and I closed my eyes and had my stylist give me an angled bob and I LOVED it. So much so that after growing it out for over a year, I just cut it again. (There is a pic in my profile I think)My hair is pretty fine but with the cut, I can keep my curly style. Super quick and easy. Just an idea. I would also say caramel highlights, or maybe an auburn color depending on what look you are going for. Good luck!

The highlights will add more depth to your hair, and honey/caramel would be perfect for your coloring!

You have the perfect kind of hair and face for an angled bob! So chic! I would love to be able to do that, but I can't bc I have curly hair :(

I would do the haircut first and then go to highlights if you still want a change. Highlights are high-maintenance and once you start, you really can't go back.
