Can I get a Kitchen Table Opinion Please?

I'm looking to get a new kitchen table, don't want to spend TOO Much money because I don't think we'll be staying in this house more than a couple of years but what I have right now is

I think I love these two tables (I think?) lol. Would you ladies mind?
((All other furniture in my house is cherry or black)) these pics are from a while ago but paint color is the same, you get the idea.

Not sure if I want the cushions bc they get dirty, don't want our buns to hurt without cushions....I am so confused and annoying

If you want seats with cushions, can you find a set of chairs that have leather cushions rather than cloth? Thats what I have in my kitchen and they are easy to clean.

I got mine from Bobs super cheap but my table gets scratched so easy. But, if you are looking for something cheap to kinda "hold you over" then try Bobs.

Hi, Thank you!! I did try bob's and they only had 2 similar sets. One was a very grainy wood and the other was black but had a sort of cabinet underneath and DH likes to stretch his feet out under the table Both sets above are comparable in price to Bob's. Just not sure if I want cushions or not and not sure which style I like better. I'm confused. :)

second one...i have one very similar and love it.

i refused to get cloth on my chairs....the food dropping on it that cant get cleaned no thanks!

They are both Counter Height Tables, i'm not sure if that's the same as Pub Table?

Food dropping on them is exactly why I didn't want the cloth but I like the chairs in the first set better. I can't win.

i say table 2 because you can always add thin cusions if you find it necessary...i prefer the look of no cushions but i might get thin cushions in my kitchen because the seats gets hard after sitting for awhile...i rather have something removeable opposed to a built in cushion...of course you can always reupholster (sp?) if the cushions get dirty or you want to change them but i don't know how to do that!

I am no help because I like the back of #2 and the cushion of #1.

I have cloth on my kitchen chairs but I did the old school italian grandmother thing and covered them in clear plastic! I have 2 under 2 so I didn't have a choice!!!

#2! I like chairs with no cushions (easier to clean, nicer look) and I like that style chair better in #2. The chairs in our DR set don't have cushions... never even thought of it actually so I guess it must be comfy enough!

I love both sets but I like the first set with the cushioned chairs a little better.

To be honest, if you are sitting on the chair it's pretty difficult to get food on them while you are sitting there eating. Plus you can always scotchguard them, spot clean or recover them if they get too dirty.

If so, the other two look so similar.

you can recover your current chairs in a better fabric that's easier to clean and even in leather if you want..

why spend the money on a new set that looks almost identical to the one you have if you don't plan on keeping it, kwim?

my first thought upon seeing both these options was in regards to size.. both of these are so much bigger than what you have, like double the size

will that fit in the space?

I don't think there is anything wrong with what you have, personally if you plan on moving I wouldn't do anything just yet because you don't know what you will want when you get in the new place.

But to answer the question I like set 1 a little better than set 2

Thank you so much everyone for your responses so far.

To answer, the reason we are getting rid of our current set is:
a) it's beat up and old, stains on chairs and scratches in table.

b) It's way too small. We can fit four people/plates there if there's pretty much no other food on the table. I'd like to be able to have people over without having to eat in the formal dining room.

I should put current pics up because there is a huge black clock on that kitchen wall now and darker curtains which is why i'm gravitating towards the darker Java set...BUT, I'm not sure about the cushions!! I think the cherry set looks nicer but it also looks a lot like my formal dining set. fml

definitely like table #2 more. the finish looks more sleek and the smooth seating looks comfy but easy to clean

I like # 2 but both of these tables seem to be much larger than what you have in there. You might end up too close to the counter and wall if you go this big.
