We're team green and at first I was planning to do the entire nursery after LO arrives becuase I REALLY wanted a definite boy or girl room. As the time grew closer, I couldn't stand the idea of not having the room ready so we're doing it gender neutral. White wainscot on the bottom, yellow on top. Our bedding set is also gender neutral. My need to have to have the room done wound up coming before a gender specific room!

From past experience, I ordered DD before and I wish I had waited even though her bedding was so pretty and we were . You can always have 2 lined up for both genders and order them from the hospital or have DH go get them once the baby is born.

I agree with the ladies that say before, both for the paint fumes and the organizational aspect.

BEFORE!!!!!!! I can not even imagine trying to paint with a newborn. Where will you find the time. We did a nice green and that was perfect! Pick a neutral color and then wait on bedding if you must, but dear lord women PAINT!!!!

We are also Team and DH is actually painting the room right now as we speak. We are doing everything neutral (paint color, crib and bedding).

I would do it before so the smell goes away, you don't want that new paint smell in the baby's room. Plus DH spent the whole week with me at the hospital when I had DS because I had a c-section and I really needed help getting in and out of bed and taking care of him.
