Re: passport question
can you call the cruise line and ask? do you have a license that matches your old name still?

Re: passport question
I know for Int'l flights you cannot do that unless you put your maiden name when you bought the ticket...I would call the cruise line, you don't want to take any chances and I would call 3 times after that to make sure all 3 ppl say the same thing.

Re: passport question
I'm going on a cruise at the end of April and have the same issue. I called travel agents 2 times and the cruise line 2 times and got the same answers - as long as the cruise and the flight is booked in my maiden name, I can use the old passport. I'm making a copy of my marriage license and bringing my drivers license with the married name just in case there are any problems.

Re: passport question
Did you book the cruise in your maiden name? If not call the cruise and see if you can switch the reservation to your maiden name.

Re: passport question
If they say no, and the tickets are in your married name...
I *think* you can apply for a passport card for cruises and it is much cheaper and I think maybe faster...
I always book my trips in my maiden name when I need to use my passport.

Re: passport question
i just called the passport office and they told me as long as it's a closed cruise leaving from a US port it will not be a problem as long as i bring my marriage license. I then called the cruise line to double check and they told me the same thing. woohoo ! i did not want to spend an arm and a leg to get a new passport!

Re: passport question
All you need is your actual marriage license, not a copy and each time you check in show them both and you will be okay. I went to Peru and Antigua with my married name on the plane tickets but not on my passport and I had no problem as long as I had my marriage license.
