Getting to know the neighbors
What are some good ways to get to know your neighbors if you have recently moved to a new neighborhood? Their kids are way older than ours, and we tend to be a bit introverted. Thanks in advance!

Re: Getting to know the neighbors
Nice weather will be a great way to spur on conversations. If you see your neighbors outside, get out there and pretend to do something so you can drum up something to say

If you have a pet, getting out and walking your dog is a great way to get to know others...

Re: Getting to know the neighbors
The day we moved into our house last June, there happened to be some activity down the block where police cars were in front of someone's house. Of course I went outside to look, and 4 other neighbors all came over to me and assured me that this was not normal and we chatted for a little while. So that was the easiest and fastest way to meet people!
But other than that, the only neighbors we ever really say "hi" to are the ones right next to us when they're outside. My neighbors across the street spend a lot of time gardening, so we'll talk to them if we're also out.
I agree with the PP that you should just make up something to do so you can be out at the same time as the neighbors!!

ITA - I see my neighbors a lot more when it's nice out.
I also found that once we had DS we met even more neighbors because they stop by to see him when we're outside.
