My SIL tried the caster oil twice with both kids and went into labor the next day....
I still don't know if I would try it though...

see, it's stories like this that make me wonder. i mean, is it just a coinsidense or did the Caster Oil REALLY do anything??? My MIL also says that she went into labor the day after drinking it, but my Dr says it's purely a myth. Then on Baby Story the other day, the nurse on there said something about how she was glad her patient drank the Caster Oil because she probably wouldn't have gone into labor otherwise

Can I tell you a secret...I really really really miss DS moving around in my belly, so as uncomfy as you are and as much as you want him here, try to enjoy these last few days of having him all nice and snuggled in you.

They told me I had little progress the morning of the night I went into labor.... I ate a lot of hot sauce on my green cactus and two hrs later I was in labor!

You are very lucky, unless the baby is too big, we are in it till the 12th. That's almost the middle of March. Where's the shotgun to the head emoticon?

I'm trying so hard to truly enjoy the last few days of this pregnancy and of it just being just me & Dh because I know everything will soon change. But it's so hard - I'm just so anxious to meet our little girl. I mean, I've been emotionally ready for her the moment I found out I was pregnant. It's been a long wait. So many mixed feelings now that I'm at the end.

I totally feel you ladies! My due date is 3/1...this is my 2nd...people tell me your 2nd will come earlier and quicker...
was on bedrest from Oct until the beginning of Feb...i thought as soon as bedrest was lifted this little guy would want to come out...but noooo....he's waiting for the last possible minute! Went for another internal exam yesterday...100% effaced, but 2-3 cm dialated...not much dialted from last week, but cervix is thinned out completely...
i dont feel any different and havent had much contractions between yesterday and today...
is this normal??!
Im not doing any of the castor oil or other myths...just been doing laundry, cleaning, potty training my 3 yr old...
Sleep? HA! When i am not peeing every 3 minutes in the middle of the night, my arms and hands go numb, and legs get crampy!
GRRR! Im not the h appiest or jolliest person in my house these days :( Poor hubby!

Oh 3/7 that's crazy! Hope you DON'T have to wait that long!
at least my dr seems to be induction happy for me and wants to do Cervadil next Tuesday night if nothing happens before then. . I really though I did not want to be induced but am reconsidering for sure.

So, I'm due 3/1. Been 2-3 cm for almost 3 weeks now. Completely effaced, and lost my mucus plug 3 weeks ago.
My friend that is due 3/7 had her baby last night!!!! So jealous!! She said her dr stripped her membranes and she went into labor the next day.

ugh i feel your pain!!!! although I'm not due until 3/5- I'm already 3 cm dilated from the last internal- almost 100% effaced, lost my mucus plug and having MAJOR contractions, but they are coming in every 15-20 minutes apart, therefore I can't do anything but wait- last night was rough - the pain is horrible and on top of it i think I may have back labor!!!

yea! lost my mucus plug too about 3 wks ago and nothing!
Maybe this weekend will be our weekend kiwi!?
Are you getting contractions yet? Strong ones? I get them strong here and there...once i think they are regular (every hr, every 40 mins) for 3 hrs, i get thrown for a doozy, and dont get another one til the next day!

Jealous too! I had a friend who had her  a month early! My doctor can't even REACH my membranes to strip them. .
I'm still optimistic something will happen today. . going back to acupuncture too!

I hope so! I get contractions pretty bad for a period of time every day but they always stop. This morning I woke up with the worst period type cramps in the front and back but of course they have calmed down since then.

I am going to go to acupuncture as well. Not because I think it will work, but because it is relaxing and it is at least half hour out of my day when no one texts/calls me and asks "anything??" Um, at this point when I have this baby I'll be holding a news conference to let the world know!!!!!!!!!

My dr has mentioned this several times to me (stripping the membranes). I think I'm going to ask her more about it at my next appt on Monday (which is my due date). I'm hoping we can do SOMETHING to move things along. Ugh.
