if getting your foot sized for running shoes worth it?
I have never had this done and thinking it might be beneficial.
MAybe my shoe size is wrong cause my toenails always hurt after running

I would say not only is it worth it, its absolutely necessary.
Not only will they check your size (most people should go up at least a half size in running shoes), they will check the way you run and recommend the right shoes for you.
Everyone has different needs and the wrong shoes could lead to injury!

It does not cost you anything to figure out what size/type of running shoe you should have. Just go to a running store and they will find the best shoes for you. That first pair you may pay a little more for (since the running store always seems to be a little bit more money), but after that you can buy the shoe anywhere. If you are having toe nail pain, you may need to buy half a size bigger - my gf does this, but still has toe nail problems.

i agree, def go to runners edge in farmingdale. they are actually having a run on sunday and a huge sale afterwards.

It's absolutely worth it. I got fitted for the first time in the fall. I definitely think the shoes I got were more supportive and better for running than ones I had bought in the past.
