For me, much much worse. This PG was 100% planned, and--although I've always wanted a baby--I've never had the desire to be pregnant. Not a fan, but excited for the outcome!

Re: Overall, do you think pregnancy is worse or better than you expected?
In retrospect, my first pregnancy was really easy. This pregnancy sucks. I go to bed exhausted at 10 and I'm wide awake at 12, 12:30. My legs are so restless at night I can't get comfortable. And, just this week, it feels like my vag is sore. Awesome.
I'm so ready to not be pregnant and to never be pregnant again.

It's way better than I expected. I was so lucky to not experience any morning sickness (I was TERRIFIED of this) and have felt pretty great so far. I'm just past 28w today.

Re: Overall, do you think pregnancy is worse or better than you expected?
I love being pregnant, and comparatively, I've had a smooth experience......particularly the first trimester.
Now, as I approach the third trimester (next week), I'm thoroughly disappointed that I haven't held up as well as I would have liked. I've always been a trooper....managing to enjoy life in all circumstances. But since Christmas, I've been in physical therapy 3x a week for back/hip/feet issues - and it's really sucked the life out of me. Obviously, I knew a LO would change my quality of life drastically.......but I didn't expect my body to completely fail me.
That said..... is healthy, and that's really all that matters to me!

Re: Overall, do you think pregnancy is worse or better than you expected?
MUCH worse. With DS #1 I had a decent pregnancy and was hoping the same for this, but it has been pretty terrible. I have other health issues that complicated it on top of the normal pregnancy pains, etc. The heartburn is really relentless. I know it's all worth it, just can't wait for this baby t come out!

Re: Overall, do you think pregnancy is worse or better than you expected?
I don't know. I knew it could be bad. My mom was sick all 9 months. So far this first trimester has been tough. I'm exhausted beyond belief, throwing up every day, constipated, heartburn, etc.
But it's an amazing feeling knowing there is a life growing inside of me!
I hope the second trimester will be better. I know I dont have it as bad as some, but definitely not an easy pregnancy like some have with no syptoms.

So far, it's worse than I expected. I just feel like crap, constantly. And I feel guilty for hating that I feel like crap. And I'm so moody that I'm even driving myself nuts (not to mention poor DH). I really hope it gets better soon.
First trimester is hard! I hate complaining because I feel so blessed to have gotten pregnant so quick and that this baby is sticking and growing and doing well. But the throwing up and feeling exhausted constantly BLOWS!!!
I hope it gets better for you!

Re: Overall, do you think pregnancy is worse or better than you expected?
Overerall, much better. I never got sick, was only a little tired the first half of my first tri, and most of the time feel completely normal...which psychologically messes with me, because I worry that something is wrong with the baby, but every dr's appointment has always had positive results. I've had stupid little issues throughout the pregnancy, but nothing that would cause a major health risk, just more agita on my part. So overall, I think I could do this another 2 or 3 times if I had to

Re: Overall, do you think pregnancy is worse or better than you expected?
With DS I don't remember it being too bad until the 3rd tri when the contractions started at 28 weeks and the 2 hernias popped out. This time around, I feel terrible a lot of the time, I'm tired, cranky, indigestion already started, hernias just popped out... I'm miserable this time around and just can't wait for this baby to be out
