Double Stroller - Need Recommendations
I am due in October and DD will be 22 months old. I want to get a double stroller (actually IL's want to get it for us), and I can't decide on which one I want. I was looking at the Graco DuoGlider (Metropolitan) attached a pic here. I figured that would work being that we can use the Graco Infant SnugRide Car Seat with it. But was wondering if anyone had any recommendations/suggestions - like what are the pros/cons to a tandem stroller vs. side by side stroller???

Re: Double Stroller - Need Recommendations
We got the Duoglider in Central Park print. My friend has a side by side one and she said it's really hard to get around the aisles of most stores.
If Sarah was as old as Bella, I would have gotten the Sit and Stand

Re: Double Stroller - Need Recommendations
I didn't have a Graco, but I had the tandem stroller and disliked it a lot. Maybe because it wasn't Graco but it was difficult to steer and HEAVY!
We just got a Combi Sport side-by-side and I LOVE it!! I don't think I could ever go back to tandem. The only problem is when they are in the infant seat. I remember one of the side-by-side took an infant seat.

Re: Double Stroller - Need Recommendations
I got the Sit and Stand that's pictured above. Andrew just turned 2 when I had Lauren! I LOVE it. It's not as heavy as a traditional double stroller, and once she outgrows the infant seat, she'll move the the seat like its pictured. Andrew also loves his new seat, where he is strapped in and can sit, or he can stand up to see what's going on. I was so hesitant about it but now that I've used it the last few weeks, I love it! It is so easy to steer and isn't as long as it looks. Definitely moves better than some single strollers I've had.
This was last weekend, not the best pic, but you get the idea.

I am so happy with my Peg Perego Aria MT single stroller that if I needed a double I would get this model in the double. It is so lightweight and easy to handle.

Re: Double Stroller - Need Recommendations
I also need to get a double stroller, but I'm REALLY hesitant about getting the Sit n' Stand. I don't think Caiden would actually stay there. He'd probably find a way of getting out.
I want the Duoglider, but I'm afraid of Caiden being too big for it. Well, he loves sitting in the stroller, though he does try to get out. We already have a Graco. He's going to be 32 months old when we have the baby, and he's already the size of a 3 year old. He's already over 36 lbs and about 39 inches tall. The weight limit on the double stroller is 40 lbs. or 4 yrs old. I don't know what I'm going to do!!!

Re: Double Stroller - Need Recommendations
Hey lady
You can try mt side by side out this weekend!!! i personally do not like the front to back strollers because they are like buses, I love my side by side. The draw back of the side by side is that Bella has easy access to the baby, while a front ot back keeps them apart. Try mine out, i have been using it lately for the 2 little ones so i have it ready to go for your use!!

Re: Double Stroller - Need Recommendations
One thing you may want to consider against the sit & stand (which I do like a lot) is that depending on DD you may want to stick with a full seat. Joseph was 22 months & would still throw himself on the ground during tantrums. It was nice to be able to pick him up & strap him in. That wouldn't have worked in a sit & stand.

Andrew would do the same too! Good thing is though the seat where Andrew is - he IS strapped in! I would not have gotten it if he couldn't be strapped in. Its only around the waist and between the legs, but it works.

Re: Double Stroller - Need Recommendations
I actually got the COmbi Sport Twin Saavy and I love it. It is lightweight and not too wide. My 4 year old sits in it. It also reclines all the way for a newborn. It was only 199.99

Neither have I, but someone mentioned that they saw one - but I haven't been able to find it! No big deal I guess, I could just take the little bean out of the carrier and put them in the stroller.
