Are these too babyish for a 3.5 year old?

The last few summers, DD has had sandals like this to wear at daycare. I prefer her toes be covered for safety reasons and they are not allowed to wear Crocs. Do you think these are too babyish for a 3.5 year old?

They sell more "hip" versions of those.. like in patent leather.. i've seen them in marshalls.. While I don't 'love" those, I would get them for daycare.. it's better than when I would see kids in socks and sandals lolChat Icon

I think my older DD had those exact ones at age 3.5. I don't think they're babyish...but to me, 3.5 year olds should be little kids!

Not at all! I like those toe covering type shoes. Much easier on toes in the Summer.

I plan on getting a "fisherman" type sandal too for DS.

I think they are very cute. I like seeing little girls in "kid" shoes, though, not the trendy shoes like older girls wear.

I do...I probably would not put my 3.5 old in those

I do shoes in this style for daycare:

I know DD had a nice pair from Keds last spring/summer

DD will be wearing something like that this year too. I think you could go with something like that for another year.

I would probably put those on my DD when she's 3.5! I actually prefer little-girlish shoes on kids that age, to me it's cute.

I usually get Keds too - but also get sandals. Thanks!

I really don;t like them but I got them almost the exact same ones for my 3.5 year old last summer. I didn't want her to have open toe shoes yet and they were the most sturdy sandal I found.

I would put my 3.5 year old in them. I like that they cover the toes but are still sandals. They have the next 80 some odd years to wear more adult sandals. I saw a lot of 3 year olds wearing them last summer.

Re: Are these too babyish for a 3.5 year old?

Bella's had that same pair for the last few summers! I LOOOOOOVE them and they are so cute and comfy.

I was planning on getting them again for her this year! Chat Icon

I don't like the open toe sandals for her either. We call her "our little Mary Katherine Gallagher" (from SNL Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon ) because she is so clumsy I can just see her stubbing her toe too bad without them being covered in a sandal.

I would get them since you don't want her toes to be exposed.

I got the sandals for them at 3.5, but I was so sad that they were not little girls anymore. You can never go backChat Icon

They say they are not safe.

Thanks! I am not crazy about them, but they serve their purpose. She can wear cute ones on the weekend ;)
