exactly.
its certainly disgusting.
but her stupidity of it is what I laugh at as well. i'm not laughing that she's smoking pot... it's more she's OK with the pot but not OK with the epidural during birth. so her baby was able to grow and develop through the effects of weed... but it can't be born with her having an epidural.

This makes me so sad...SD's egg donor smoked her entire pregnancy as well and SD was DEFINITELY affected by it...she's got no attention span and very little self control...this woman deserves a smack in the face 
I'm honestly waiting to see the affects of the weed. Not in a good way of course. but she has literally smoked her ENTIRE pregnancy.
As a matter of fact she was smoking a few times a week. she called a mutual friend who has no kids and has never been pregnant to ask her if it's OK to smoke while pregnant. this girl said "IDK, but I guess if you smoked once in a while its OK"... the girl goes.. "oh I've been smoking, I just want to up it to 3 more times a week". 
Then she asked another mutual friend about the effects of pot smoking during pregnancy. This friend gave her a list of possible effects. She said "oh i'm not worried about the development".... 
And here's the real kicker... She's a NURSE!!!! In a hospital!!!!!

Would the baby be born and have withdrawls? They could take the baby away from her for that.
pot isnt a physically addictive drug. so the baby would not have withdrawals.
im wondering id there would be any side effects..poor kid...

same here. . just about the irony and the ignorance of it. . i don't think the situation is funny, I find it sad and wrong and don't understand why anyone would smoke ONCE let alone 3x a week during pregnancy. .

I love that! Sooo wish you would have said it to her. lol.
That girl just seems weird. Who would ever think it's ok to smoke pot while pregnant? That makes me sad and is HORRIBLE!!! Although that said I do see the humor in her thinking doing a drug free birth will help in any way  It's like the people who order the greasiest food on the menu, but with a diet soda. Seriously? That's not gonna help you. lol.

to be completely honest...i'm not quite sure why the next phone call wasn't to the police....besides it being illegal she could be harming her baby, or one of her future patients....feel free to FM me her info...i'd be happy to be the first to turn her in.
And to boot....all those trying to hold onto pregnancies or trying to get pregnant in the first place....I am completely disgusted!

I'm sorry, this so isn't funny and makes me so angry, as someone who has been dealing with IF.....but, my first thought when I read this was, "don't you mean go out with a BONG?" 
Seriously though, this makes my head feel like it's going to explode. I can't even fathom purposely risking my unborn baby's development! If she tests positive for drugs in the hospital, she could lose her baby to child protective services...and she should!

she doesn't live in NY. I don't even know her address.
And she didn't write me to say "I'm smoking pot and having a natural birth". Her message was just the latter. I just KNOW she is from other people. Nothing first hand on my own account. But I know people who saw her do it at her shower (which I chose to not attend because I'm disgusted with her) and the conversations she's had with other people about it.
her behavior is indeed disgusting and stupid. and her thought pattern is twisted.

she sounds like she also needs a psych consult. quite frankly, i'd be afraid for any of her patients as well with the kind of judgment (or lack of good judgment) she is displaying.

This is the way it seems to work sometimes...its infuriating.
I did everything right. Healthy as can be, never would I DARE to smoke during pregnancy, heck i even watched my fast food intake cause i knew i should have lots of veggies...and my son had EI since 15 months. He is since doing amazingly well, but two years of his life were a huge question mark, i would cry all the time wondering why women abused their bodies and had healthy babies..
Not that i ever wish anyone an unhealthy baby. But it's just the cruel irony of life. Just like women who cannot get pg who would make wonderful mothers and those who have zero problem that abuse their kids...
