I never heard of them either but I liked their performance. Not sure how they beat out the other heavies in that category though.  Good for them.

The underdog certainly did win. I have never heard of them, but it seems like there are A LOT of people who think they are awesome.
Good for them. But I did not like their performance at all.

WOW. I love Arcade Fire. I would never have thought they would win a Grammy. I figured it was far too mainstream. But YAY!

Its so fantastic that someone with an actually GREAT album won it, rather then the popularity contest these things often are! Indie bands rule!

They are a great band. The Suburbs is one of my favorite albums of last year.

I only know them bc of my BF. He was VERY happy! I didn't know the song they performed but I do know and like the song they closed the show with.

Arcade Fire is actually one of my favorite groups, they are truly an indie band (though becoming mainstream thanks to Grammys)
I highly recommend their music--this new album is great but my favorite song by them is Rebellion (Lies) from their 2003 album.
