Work Shoes
OK ladies, what shoes do you wear to work all day? Yesterday my feet were so swollen that they looked like they were stuffed into shoes that were 3 sizes too small...and talk about painful! Today I wore a different pair of shoes and in the 3 hours that we are open I was dying!! I kept taking my shoes off whenever I was somewhere that the customers couldn't see. I am wearing flats (well, maybe a 1/2 inch wedge because if I go truly flat I get really clumsy). The only shoes that aren't annoying me are my slippers, but I can't wear these shoes at work (I'm an assistant manager at a credit union)
What are you wearing?

Re: Work Shoes
I wore a pair of Born slip-on shoes in black leather. Not the most attractive, but very comfy and easy to put on.

BORN are the most comfy brand of shoes i've ever owned. you can find them in some TJ maxx's or marshalls. besides directly from the vendor

Re: Work Shoes
I don't have a problem wiht foot swelling, but I have naturally large and wide feet. Jessica Simpson ballet flats have been a Godsend for me over the years...I have them in many different colors and patterns, and I always get compliments on my shoes!

Re: Work Shoes
Thanks ladies!! It is so weird to me to be dealing with this right now. My heels are very narrow, so I've always had to deal with my shoes falling off when I walk. And every time I show my Dr the swelling, they're like um, no for someone who is as far along as you, thats not really swollen. I can't imagine what others do who really *do* have swelling.
I think I'll hit Marshalls this weekend and see what i can find!! You guys rock!
In the meantime, I'm not taking off my slippers (I'm even going out to dinner tonight with people and wearing my slippers )

Re: Work Shoes
Comfortable footwear has become an obsession for me this week. Since Wednesday, I've bought new sneakers, a new pair of Uggs slippers and a new pair of Merrills. My sister in law just came over with the best birthday present I can imagine......a pair of Crocs!
Four new pairs of shoes, and I still can't manage to walk without an extreme limp!
At work, I've been wearing sneakers. Although I work in an office setting and wear a suit everyday, comfort and my ability to get around trumps fashion!

I've been wearing sneakers. I need more support than just flats.
