hi everyone! and i have a question...
Okay, well, I guess now that I have a question I should introduce myself although I did want to wait a couple of weeks... oh well! Anyway, I got my bfp last week (am now 4w2d). DH and I are both 31, this is our first, we were married this past May. And we're so clueless lol, but excited nonetheless.
Now for my question. I just filled my prenatal prescrip this morning and they gave me the generic (dr. didn't write "daw"). Prescription was for Prenate Elite and the generic is (I guess) PNV-Select Tablet. Anyone take this or heard anything about it? Thanks!

Re: hi everyone! and i have a question...
First off Congfrats and Welcome! Sorry, never took it, but generic is fine. The pharmacists are good with that stuff so it should be perfectly fine
as for being a new mommy soon... we're all clueless. I'm prego with my 2nd, but with the 1st I had no clue what to do or expect. It's trial by error. Heck, I'm still clueless.
Good luck and a healthy 9 months!

Re: hi everyone! and i have a question...
Welcome & congrats!! I do not have experience with those vitamins but I am sure they are fine. I take just the CVS prenatals and my Dr is good with them If you want you can always call your Dr to make sure that the generic is fine

Re: hi everyone! and i have a question...
Congratulations!!!!!
I don't think there's anything wrong with the prenatals you got. But I don't know anything specifically about them. I've been taking other ones.

Re: hi everyone! and i have a question...
Welcome and congrats on your BFP.
I didn't take dr. prescribed prenatals I took the target brand with an additional folic acide pill when I was pregnant with DS and I'll be doing the same for this pregnancy. So I'm not much help..but I figure as long as the generic contains the same as the brand name you should be fine.

Welcome and congrats!
No advice on the prenatals, but I would imagine they are fine. If you are concerned, call your OB.

Re: hi everyone! and i have a question...
Congratulations for coming out!!!
I have no advice for Prenatals since I take an otc but most prenatals are created equally, either otc or prescription.

Re: hi everyone! and i have a question...
Congrats!! I take over the counter prenatals, just because its all I've tried, they're cheaper and I do well with them. It really depends on you and how your body responds to them. Try them out and see how you feel (just in general some prenatals give some ppl side effects like constipation ect), if you're ok with them than its fine!

That is the exact one I've been taking since the start...I asked for a generic since they are so much cheaper on my plan.

Re: hi everyone! and i have a question...
Congrats and welcome!
I would suggest maybe first getting some pre-natal samples of a few different kinds before you commit to one brand. My doc had ones that contained fish oil and stool softener called Citra Natal Assure. But I tried a few others before I ended up with those. And I'm all about samples to save a little $$!

Re: hi everyone! and i have a question...
Congrats and Welcome....
I am taking the same vitamin - I have no side effects - no nausea from them (take them at night).
I took Prenate Elite for DS and was given the generic for this pregnancy - no difference.
