England or Ireland
If you could choose one, which one?
Also, if you know when is the best time to travel and/or have a good travel site I would be most appreciative!

I have not been to England....I LOVED Ireland. We used CIE Tours... They were great!
We went over Thanksgiving and it was a good time to go for us. Was it a little cold yes, but all of the sites we went to had no lines at all. The day after we left they were hit with some snow. Our weather was great. No rain and sunny everyday. Just a little cold.

So if you went to Ireland, did you stay in one location or drive around? And, do you happen to still hav eyour itinerary?
I was thinking England, because we could kind of plant ourselves in London, but still have a million things to do. Ireland seems so spread out, although I've always wanted to go, it's a little intimidating.

Since you have never been to Ireland I recommend going with an escorted tour company. I wouldn't drive there. Way too confusing for me. They drive on the wrong side of the street, on cobble stone that looks like a side walk. Thier roads are pretty narrow too. Depending on where you are, sheep are everywhere, even on the roads. If you look on the CIE website there are many many different options for where they go and what they do.

I have been to both twice and I would choose Ireland hands down over England.

i would do England, although both are on my must see list.
While both countries are full of history, i just think there is more to see in England and you can do more yourself.
My sister went to Ireland a few years back and went to Dublin and and another town whose name escapes me and she said that unless you know where to go, there is nothing to see or do, so you should definately look into a tour guide company if you go

I'd chose England
but i'm biased since i'm from there 
Honestly, i don't think you could go wrong with either. Both are 'old', both have history (although England has a lot more well known history), and both have a ton of charm
Both countries will require a lot of walking around (and you'll want to) so i would try to go while the weather is warmer. You can't guarantee it won't rain while you're there for either location, so be prepared for grey days!

This is what I'm afraid of, and while companies like Authentic Ireland are wonderful, it's already over 2000 and that doens't include air. The more I research England the more I'm getting excited to see it :) Just reading some of the names of places and being a big Tudors buff, I think this is the ticket.

I live in the North West of England, I say get out of London for a day or two and get up North to a big city like Manchester!

Def Ireland. A few years back we went to England for about 4 days and spent the rest of the 2 weeks in England. England was cool, but once we got to Ireland there is just so much to see. We drove around in a complete circle around the country and mostly stayed at B&Bs. The country is absolutly gorgeous!

I vote for England. So much to see and do, plenty of history and charm, really nice people and easy to get around. I lived there for 3 years and have been back several times. Love it!

I've been to both and I always say if I win the lotto I am buying property in Ireland! I loved both and you can't really go wrong, but the charm of Ireland is just wonderful. The people are friendly and helpful. When we went I was in my early 20's and I went with my sister and a friend. We stayed in Dublin for a few days then rented a car and traveled around-we did a self guided tour, where you get vouchers for b&b's and they give you lots of literature to help you plan your trip.
That being said, if you have your heart set on England, you can always fly into Dublin, do a few days and then fly on to England. Dublin is an amazing city and the flight to England is so short and cheap. I did that the second time I went to Europe-well worth it!!
