Re: pinapple
I've been eating it through my entire pregnancy, its been one of the things I crave and I have not gone into labor yet. I think that may be a myth!!!

Re: pinapple
I tried every old wives tale there was, including pineapple, to induce labor. The baby comes out when he/she wants to.
I still say the yoga ball exercise helped me finally go into labor, but she was born one day early, which means she was probably just ready to come out.
I'd eat all the pineapple you want!

Re: pinapple
Yeah all the food things have no medical basis to start labor. . and even the things like foot massage which supposedly can actually have to be VERY accurate on the specific points and hard and long to make any effect. From what doctors and books say - few things can cause you to go into premature labor (except major traumas or dehydration etc) so eat away!!

Re: pinapple
No, natural remedies for inducing labor (like pineapple, sex, caster oil, etc) won't work if your cervix is not ripe. In theory, these methods may help ripen your cervix-making it soften, efface and dilate if you're at that point in your pregnancy but it wouldn't, like, cause your water to break before it's ready.
