Spinoff to tub post
When you were/are searching for a home, do you even pay attention to what kind of tub it is? I don't mean just the size, but whether it's steel, cast iron, fiberglass?
We are doing two bathrooms in our house and DH is so obsessive about the material of the tub we get. I always wonder if other people really will care when it comes to resale.

Re: Spinoff to tub post
I had a plastic surround when we purchased the house. Cheap cheap cheap.
We redid our bathrooms with a cast irons tub and tile all around.
If I saw a tub in a house for sale with an acrylic tub and surround, either it will be brand new or I know I will have to redo this bathroom.

Re: Spinoff to tub post
I think that most potential buyers may not notice if it's a plain old plastic tub, but they WILL definitely notice if it's something a bit nicer.

Not really because I knew it was a total gut job.

Re: Spinoff to tub post
One of the compromises we had to make was there is no tub only a shower so if there was a tub I wouldn't care what kind...
