BBB rant!

I know a lot of people on here are not big fans of BRU, but BBB is really making me Chat Icon First my MIL told us that she went to the store the other day and they didn't have the highchair on our registry but a sales person showed her a different chair. The new chair cost $50 more and has none of the features of the one we wanted (the original converted to 4 different seats). I'm not sure if they would have been able to order it for her, I'm going to have to find out.

Now yesterday my grandmother was trying to buy us our car seat (Graco snugride 32). Apparently that is not in stock ANYWHERE, including the warehouse, so they can't order it. Why are they "selling" products that they can't deliver? Do I have to pick out a new car seat now? I'm getting nervous as to what other items I registered for that aren't actually available for saleChat Icon

Has anyone else had this problem?

Re: BBB rant!

I might be wrong but i am pretty sure that the Snugride 32 was discontinued and replaced with the Snugride 30 so that could be the problem with the car seat.

Well I wish they'd inform me then! I'll have to ask my Grandma, but when I spoke to her she didn't mention them saying anything about this. I don't know why they'd continue to list it as being for sale if it's not. With my wedding registries they'd always let me know when something was close to no longer being available.

Now I'm debating if I should try to find a 32 elsewhere or go with a 30. Chat Icon I'm definitely afraid of the 35 being too heavy.

That is annoying that they didn't notify you or put an asterisk on your registry or something.

When I went to the store 3 weeks ago to register they didn't even have any 32s on display. the sales lady said that the 30 is plenty and there is no need to get the 35 as it will be way too heavy

I did not register at BBB,but I can tell you that if you have your heart set on a specific carseat or highchair, to look on Amazon.com!

They have EVERYTHING, and at the best prices too!!!And most items ship for free!!!

I agree with the saleslady. Both of my DDs were out of their infant seats LONG before they even approached 30lbs! DD#1 was only about 24lbs by 2 years old. DD#2 is 21 months and only weighs 21lbs. She is 31 inches, so well exceeds the height limit for the seat. Once they get to be even CLOSE to 20lbs they are just too heavy to carry in that seat, even if they aren't too tall for it. I would honestly get the lightest, safest seat you can find. Good luck!

Re: BBB rant!

DS was out of the infant seat by 5mos.

Make sure you register for a convertible seat! The one we chose was suitable for 5lbs - 65lbs, so technically we could've used it from birth.
