DH is adorable...and awesome (and not banned from CVS!)

I just went to the doctor and it turns out I have bronchitis...at 33 weeks pregnant...lovely.

My doctor always submits my prescriptions electronically and there is never a problem. Within 10 minutes of me getting home, CVS usually calls to tell me that they received my prescription and it will be ready at X time. Of course this time it has yet to be received by CVS. And the Dr's office is closed. I asked DH to pick up more Robitussin for me on his way home (which he knew I was going to pick up with my 'script). He was like why don't you have the antibiotic yet and I explain it to him. Well he is headed to CVS right now to get the Robitussin, but on the way he's trying to call the Dr's office to see if there is an emergency line so he can try to convince the DR to call in the script instead. And he's like can't CVS give you one zithromax to get you started, its not like we're looking for a controlled substance here!

I have a feeling he may cause a scene...but it is adorable because he is just trying to get what I need. He doesn't want to hear that it can sometimes take a while to go through on the electronic channel. He just knows that his pregnant wife is sick and he will try to move heaven and earth to get what I need. It is really quite cute...I just may need to switch pharmacies when it is all over with

I don't know how he did it, but in half an hour he was able to get the script. He called the doctor's office and even stood in such a way that the pharmacy couldn't close with him standing there. He said that the only person people feel sorry for more than a pregnant women, is her husband at the store late at night.

Awww, he wants to take care of you...my DH is the same...so sweet!

(On a side note,they could never just give out meds w/o a prescription...what if you had an allergy, or if the Dr. changed his mind and sent in something else...it would be negligible on the pharmacy's part.)
