Chubsy-Wubsy and Mama's Boy

These are the 2 nicknames that a nurse at our dr's office gave to Hunter and Georgie. It bothers me when she says them, but I haven't said anything. Am I just too sensitive?

That is mean! She is a stranger. Those are not nicknames those are hurtful. You should say something!

I'd be ******...they're nurses at the dr. office..they shouldnt be giving him nicknames.

I would not be bothered by them. I have never heard of people being bothered by terms like that until LIF - BUT if YOU are bothered by it, then say something.

I just feel like, you go to the doctor once or twice a month? Even less, hopefully - I wouldn't even bother.

I call my own kid chubsy wubsy, I do not think I am mean. I think if they are babies, it is fine. It is different if they are 7yrs old ,kwim?

I am not offended by that, I called my own DD "chubba wubba" and such for at least the first year of her life, lol. But I understand many people are sensitive to these names, especially if they've had weight issues themselves, so it's probably not smart for the nurse to be using them.
