We saw afew houses that we really like but nothing that we said OMGwe have to have this house.l Did you LOVe your house the 2nd you walked in or did you visit a few times and it was a gradual thing?

Gradual thing. The house we bought was the 7 or 8 th house we put an offer on and it was the third house we had inspected.

There was 1 house I would have bought on the spot! No poker face at all they probably could've gotten more from me than asking price.
DH said no way. I cried a little over it.
We saw it over the summer. I still thing about it. I still want it.

Since than we found 1 that we both agreed on. But it didn't work out.
We're still looking.

Low taxes and great schools. Three beds three baths and a finished basement, pool and a deck, a fireplace and a fantastic price....we almost bought it over the phone lol. It had what we wanted

We were walking around the house and we "loved" everything... funny, because we did a lot of stuff to the house-- but we were looking big picture, etc. We made an offer by the end of the day. So, I guess we knew right away!

no, I thought it was cute and we were looking for a really really long time and just wanted to get out of our inlaws house and start our life together. My next house will be my dream house even if I have to look for years!! I am a fan of older charming houses and that is what I will be on the hunt for next!!

We looked at a ton of homes....we liked one, and as a last minute thing, we went to this house. DH and I looked at eachother and we knew this was the house. We put an offer in that night. The house was on the market for one day, had 3 offers, and we won :)

DH loved it... i hated it..LOL he still reminds me to this day how much i hated the house. i dunno what it was, but i think it was more a fear b/c of how perfect the house was.

Yup-as soon as I walked in I knew it.

It was love at first sight. I had a yearning, lol. We HAD to have that house and we had fight to get it actually. We just knew it was "us".

I loved it right away, DH not so much, but he did like that it has a lot of land. There was (and still is) a lot of work to be done, but I saw the potential. I have an appreciation for older things, DH not so much he'd rather have all brand new. I saw it as THE house we could grow into and start our family here - I didn't want a starter home than have to move again. Considering the space and the amt we got for our $ DH agreed it was the best deal we had found so far.

We both definitely felt a connection to the house when we walked in. We were upset when we initially made an offer which the sellers accepted,. then told us they were going to throw an open house... so we were praying no one bidded more than us! we looked at tons of houses for over a year and almost settled for ones that weren't really for us, but were willing to buy out of frustration.. so wait for the one that makes you feel like "this is it!"

yes and no...

we put offers on 11 houses. we were buying in a competitve market down in FL and basically fighting for a forclosure or short sale...any house we saw potential in we put an offer on

the house we got was not the best deal $$ wise but we thank our lucky stars that it's the one we ended up with. it is on the best block in the best community we looked at (in comparison to the others).

we put in an offer sight unseen. my dad took video and our realtor sent pictures. based on that we made an offer. we saw it for the first time during inspection. we knew we could still back out (and it would just cost us the $ to inspect) but when we walked in we fell in love.

it's funny though b/c for a house we "loved" we certainly changed a lot

It was definitely not love at first sight, but we knew we were putting in an offer immediately.

For us we were the first people in to see a house that was priced below market value because they needed a quick sale to pay for the seller's nursing home. We had been looking at starters/fixers but this house was one we could live in while working on it AND up to $100,000 cheaper than others we had seen.

It was an opportunity we knew we couldn't pass up, and by the end of our visit the seller (little old lady) was holding our hands telling us she wanted us to buy her house!

However, almost two years later, I still don't LOVE it... but it's a work in progress!

at first sight! we had to walk away actually because the seller was delusional and i was positively heartbroken. she dropped her price right around the holidays and we pounced again. i couldn't stop thinking about our house and compared all others that we saw in between to it.

i got the same fluttery feeling in chest that i got when i found my wedding gown.

We looked at our house 3 times before making an offer. We thought it was a beautiful house, but it was over-priced when it was first listed. It was also one of the first houses we had looked at and we wanted to make sure we saw what else was out there.

A month later the agent we met at the open house called me and said the seller's have dropped the price and they're more flexible, so we took a 2nd look.

We still were not 100% sold on it. That weekend we sat down and made a pro's and con's list. DH still has the list. The only con's were "small bedrooms" and "we don't own it yet". We decided we could live with small bedrooms, so we scheduled a 3rd look and made our offer.

It was the best decision we could have made. We're in the house 2 months now and we absolutely LOVE it!

We looked at a handful of condo's in 1 development in 1 day... The one we REALLY wanted already had an accepted offer so that was out... Basically, we chose the next best condo... We had the 8k deadline and good thing we rushed when we did bc our landlords were pushing for us to get out bc they needed the apt for their parents... dipsh*ts...

ETA: So no, not love at first sight... I liked it in the mls pics and def really wanted to get an accepted offer, but i wouldnt say i was in love with it... DH loved it more than i did, but it def grew on me

When I saw the pictures online, I hated it! The outside shot made it look soooo bad. Our agent took us there because she thought it would be perfect for us, and we both fell in love as soon as we saw it! Looked SO much better than in photos.

We loved it just from a picture of the outside! We knew we were going to buy it before we even saw the inside.
