Which registry items?

Which registry items?

I'm trying to narrow down my selections for carseat and stroller. Originally I was going to do the Graco Quattro Tour Deluxe travel system from BBB, which includes a SnugRide 35, but I saw the 35 in person today, and it seemed a lot bulkier than the 30.

I found this collection on BRU that looks cute, but would have to buy ala carte, and I haven't heard much feedback on the Graco Mosaic strollers. The carseat is the 30.

Also, I originally registered for this bouncer, but found out today it's not really a bouncer.

I'm thinking of switching to this one instead:

What does everyone think? Any experience with any of these items, or are you registered for any, and what made you choose them or not choose them?

We just bought the Graco MetroLite Stroller Laguna Bay and the coordinating carseat.

It's lighter, I think, than the Quattro..which is notorious for being so big and bulky.

the Metrolite weighs less than 20 lbs and can close in one-hand motion.. not sure if you looked at that?

All in all you really can't go wrong with a Graco, I think.Chat Icon

ps...as far as those bouncer things (that aren't really bouncers..I never know what to call them) -- do you have a swing? I found that last time, I bought both and ended up using the swing a lot more. The grow out of the other thing much quicker.

Can't help with the strollers, but the sales person (at BBB) told me those two seats/bouncers were the same thing just different collections, little lamb and something bunny? Are they not?

I'm not sure if the Mosaic stroller reclines fully.. The Metrolite does...I had to get the stroller and carseat separately.

Re: Which registry items?

I have the Graco Matrolite travel system which yes, is lighter than that Graco Quattro Tour, i have that one too. I like the smoother ride of the Quattro Tour and it manuvers better. I have no problem getting it in and out of my Forrester. I like them both but the Quattro tour rides better and i like the huge basket underneath.

Re: Which registry items?

I would say to get a carseat that you can lift (the 35 seems like it would be really heavy) and a snap and go.

Then you can get a lightweight stroller for when the baby is 6 months and up.

With my first I had the Graco Metrolite with matching carseat. I def. liked it because it was light, but I hardly snapped the carseat into the Metrolite. I always used the Snap and Go.

Re: Which registry items?

We registered for the B is for Bear stroller and car seat.

Yes it's a la carte -- but they fit perfectly together -- and the stroller is MUCH more lightweight than a traditional travel system that you would buy together. It's less than 20 lbs.

We played around with the stroller in store and really liked it -- as well the car seat didn't feel incredibly heavy/bulky.

Re: Which registry items?

For the two bouncers/seats, the lamb one I found out doesn't bounce, it just vibrates and plays music. The bunny one bounces, vibrates, and plays music, and the reviews I saw on them seemed to be more favorable. Just was curious if anyone here had either and what they liked and disliked about them.

I think we're definitely switching to the 30 carseat, and we also registered for the snap and go for the beginning. I'll definitely look in to this other Graco stroller, which seems to be a good compromise in size and bulk from the Quatttro Tour and the Mosaic. Thanks!

My friend has the metro lite travel system and loves it...but I found the Quattro Tour to be a bit smoother so we registered for the new Quattro Tour Reverse...just came out. It allows you to reverse the seat so that LO can face you or the outside world. They only have it at BBB and it has the snugride 30 like your looking for. The pattern is neutral which worked for us bc we are having a boy.

I also registered for the my little lamb bouncer but also noticed it really is m ore of an infant seat. My swing though is Graco and it can also turn into a bouncer so I left the infant seat on my registry as well.

Re: Which registry items?

I had originally registered for that same bouncy seat but then changed my mind bc the material seemed like it would make the baby sweat if he sat in it too long. I switched to the fisher price precious planet bouncer (they also have a mini swing that can double as a bouncer too)

Re: Which registry items?

I also registered for the Graco MetroLite Stroller because it was lightweight.

I originally registered for the Little Lamb bouncer seat & swing, and just recently (within the last 2 weeks) switched it to the Bunny bouncer seat & swing because of the reviews.

Re: Which registry items?

i also registered for the snug a bunny bouncer - but i dont think bru or bbb have them in store yet

the bunny line is a lot more updated than the lamb line - for instance the swing plugs in and i dont believe the lamb one does

this is what we have too.. pattern and all!!! we love it!! it is not a travel system, we 'created' our own travel system.

we also got the snap and go for the beginning and dh's boss is getting the city select stroller which we will keep in one car. so we are pretty set with strollers!!

All the Mommies I know that have the Quattro Tour said it's awful, because it's so heavy and bulky. I have the Metrolite and like it.

Re: Which registry items?

Having had both the stroller system for my first and the snap and go with a car seat for my second, hands down get a snap and go with the greco car seat. I would get a nice stroller for later, we have a Peg and a McLaren and love them both.
