Re: vent...

All of my friends are not married and have no kids...some of them get it, and some have no clue and make me feel guilty when I don't want to go somewhere b/c Im pregnant. Hang in there...and true friends will be happy you are happy, even if they can't see you as much as they want to!

Re: vent...

what's worse (for me) are people who have kids who have forgotten what it's like to be pregnant and don't understand why I can't do certain things.

Re: vent...

I can and can not identify. I have good mix of friends who are already parents and lots of single friends.

For me, personally, it kind of depresses me that I can't go and hang with my single friends and have care free fun right now. This is it! I have 7 months of freedom and I can't make the most of it because my body won't let me.

I also find it depressing to watch my parent-friends no longer do anything because of their kids. I think that is their choice, and many times an excuse. I just hope that I find a way to find a balance in my life and continue to be my own person.

ITA! Me and DH have agreed to make sure we get out and do things with LO as early as possible. We like to get out and travel etc. We feel if you start out young traveling and being social with your children it will be easier as time goes on to keep doing the things you love. I don't want to hold ourselves back because of inconveinence.
This also includes doing things without LO and not feeling guilty!

Re: vent...

stinky thing to deal with but i know i will soon be in teh same boat. all of my friends are single and the one that is married lives like a single person.
i would just ignore it. eventually when they get there they will see what its like. you have to do whats best and most comfortable for you

ITA - DH and I want to get out and do as much as we do now with LO as well as without. Baby is due in April and we already have a trip planned in Aug and Oct.
Plus I luckily have a loving family that wants to watch LO as much as possible - so that gives us alone time and time to go out with friends!
