Pampers. I tried huggies once and Dd got a major rash. To me, pampers absorbs a lot better than huggies.
My DD once threw a clean diaper in the toilet and the diaper filled with water and didn't even leak when I picked it up! I can't even tell you how much water was in there and how heavy the diaper was.

Started out w/ Pampers Swaddlers (what our hospital used), and when DS grew out of them we tried all the brands and like Luvs best. It's trial and error though, b/c some types seem to work better for some babies.

I loved the pampers swaddlers when DS was a newborn. I used them until size 2 i think and then they changed the make up of them with the dry max stuff and I switched to Huggies and have liked them. they're not as soft but they work well for us.

Pampers.. I've tried huggies, luvs and target brand.. I keep going back to pampers. I have friends that swear by all of the other three though, so maybe try out a few for yourself to see what you like better and what works best for your babe. I will say I looooved the pampers sensitive in the beginning

Luvs.
We started out with Pampers Swaddlers and I do like those, but they only go up to size 2-3. We switched to regular Pampers, then Target Up and Up, and settled on Luvs. They are half the price and the same basically as the Pampers Baby Dry.
We do use Pampers Extra Protection at night, only ones DS doesn't pee through.
