Help! Trouble switching from infant bathtub

Ugh!!! My DS is 10 months and will ONLY take a bath in his infant tub...which he is too big for! He has to sit with his legs like a butterfly. He's happy as a clam in there.
If we try to put him in the sink he freaks out, screams, cries, stands up...argh!!! He HAS taken several baths in my mom's sink and the last was right after Christmas-not too long ago! We are avoiding the bathtub bc it is high and has a shower door, so it's hard to lean over, but I am thinking that he won't like the huge tub anyway. Am I destined to have a dirty kid??!!

Have you tried the inflateable baby tubs? They are a little bigger than the infant tubs and you can fill it up while it is on the floor. It is pretty sturdy and your DS may like it because he can play in it with some bath toys! Just a thought. I have one that I use for my DD who is 8 months old. She loves it!

We have this one Eurobath by Primo it goes up to two years old. DS freaked when we tried the big tub a few months ago, it was so weird so we just kept him in this one. He's 14 months and still fits perfectly.

Yeah, DD didn't like the tub at first so we got the larger baby bath pictured above. Worked great. We used that for 2 months are so until we phased her to the tub

We had trouble with Ryan too. We decided to try this and it worked. Plus, we were able to move from the sink to the tub pretty quickly.

I was going to recommend the same one- my son loves it! So do I! Lol- it's easy, cute, and cheap ($12 at Target)!

We have this one as well - it was our 6th tub! We just couldn't find one that DS was comfortable in - and this is the winner! We love it.

Re: Help! Trouble switching from infant bathtub

We used the infant tub till DS was about 6-7 months and then we switched him to the inflatable tub that goes in the regular bathtub. Just this week at 15 months we decided to try the regular tub and he freaked out and refused to sit down. The next night I went in with him and after a few minutes he sat down. Next night he went in no problem.

We have this one and DS LOVES it!! We also have shower doors which is why we chose to just get this one instead of trying him in the tub.

thanks girls, I will try to pick up one of these options! I am glad that DS is not the only child who has transitioning trouble.
