I can see both sides. I think it was extremely rude of your brother to say that they pick it out and you just pay for it. That sounds like you're just Miss Moneybags to them. As for SIL, I can understand her being excited to look at outfits for her DS when she was ANYWHERE they sell them, be it flea market, BRU, etc. But I definately understand you wanting to be involved and feeling left out...especially after your brother's comment...that really makes it seem like all he wants is the money from you. I think you need to talk to SIL and just say that you were excited to make a day out of it. But you still can. I'm sure after she talks to you, that you will be able to still go to a few different places to look. She'll still have in her mind the one that she found at the flea market, but at least she'll see others and maybe fall in love with something else. It could be that these ones are the only ones she's seen. Keep in mind though, that as the baby's mother, she has a picture in her mind of how she wants the baby to look. If you guys had a good relationship before, I'm sure this can all be ironed out very easily.

In all honesty though, is she supposed to walk around with her eyes closed? She already told you she happened to see it while killing time. I think you're blowing this up unto something completely bigger then what it is.
