I plan on using it for work- so it's a business expense- which I need for 2011 so it works out perfectly

I'm not really sure what I would use it for. I would get one if there was a better e-book function so it could be used as a Kindle/Nook AND for the internet but I've heard that's not what it's good for.

LI mortgage, 2 kids in daycare... who in the heck can afford to get the latest of every gadget out there?.
I just got my first smart phone in Sept.
Right now, I don't see a need. If anything, we try to "unplug" more as a family.

DH won one, so that's the only reason we have one here.
I'm eh about it. I get more use out of my laptop.
The kids on the other hand..... they love it and have tons of apps on it (both games and educational).

DH surprised me with one the day after Christmas at 1st I wanted to KILL him since we agreed we weren't going to exchange and for spending the money on one.
But now I'm in LOVE and I use it everyday, especially now that I'm pregnant, I plan on bring it to the hospital with me to keep my busy during the day

I got one as a company gift. I'd rather use a laptop. I wish I sold it. Typing more than a few sentences is a pain, no USB port to upload photos, no cd drive. I find it useless without another computer to sync it to for photos, music etc.

DH was going to get me one for Christmas but instead went with a MacBook. He said for the amount of money it cost he rather spend the extra money on the MacBook. He also knew I would constantly complain about having to sync my IPhone on his computer.

my husband has it and says he really likes it, but doesn't use it very often (i think he used it a lot more when he had a train commute). for me it's pretty useless b/c i always have my computer with me and almost always have access to the internet.

bought one - returned it. It's too bulky for me. Plus I have an iPhone and a MacBook so I really didn't need it. I got a nook instead

They have a removable one. I use it all the time to upload movies from my flip.
I love it!!! I do everything on it!! I really love that you can get a camera card plug in so I can upload all my pictures in 2 seconds.
Plus the apps are cool:)

I honestly don't see the point of it- I have a netbook, a work laptop and an ipod Touch.
What would I use this for that those devices can't do?
Plus I can't justify spending that kind of money on what is essentially a cool toy.
