Do all realtors require a sit down?
We are thinking of putting our house on the market. The realtor did a walk through and is asking for a sit down to go over what they think our house is worth/will sell for. Is that the normal process?

I don't know why the Realtor didn't do this during the walk-through. Seems like a waste of time to me to make two separate appointments.

That's my thought too. The response was they want to compare comps and what's currently under contract in our area after they do the walk through.

Sounds normal to me. They might be able to get an initial idea of selling price at the walkthrought but they need time to pull comps to find what it can competitively sell for.

Yes but again why not bring the comps with you? I guess you can do it either way I suppose.
My realtor showed up with comps, walked around, and told me what he would list it at if I signed up with him.

I bring comps with me - a full report actually
some people want to sign right away- some want me to come back with the paperwork

Re: Do all realtors require a sit down?
all the REA we interviewed brought comps and reports with them.
But I wouldn't rule this one out if she really wants to do her research to find the perfect price point.
We had one person who didn't come with anything, but we decided on the REA who brought comps for our neighborhood - not our zip code.

I would bring comps. You are tryng to sell yourself and get the listing. I think the realtor should have been better prepared.
