We were told yesterday that if you are not a "critical" employee (thankfully I am not) then you are expected to work from home today! I definitely could've made it in though...well if we didn't already tell the nanny to take a snow day.

Not me. I wanted to but glad I didnt. Management is pretty observant of who came in and who didnt considering one of them lives further out in the island and came in with minimal issue. So I am breathing a sigh of relief its not me they are wondering and  why two of my coworkers couldnt make it in.

Surprisingly my office closed. No complaints here! I'll take these snow days because I don't have a scheduled day off until Memorial Day.

working from home. so is my boss. We are a very electronic office so most stuff can be handled remotely.
I work in the technology dept too.

Staying home- the office is closed.
But that doesn't mean not working! Booo!
We all can do our jobs from home so when it snows we still have to work.
But I'm not complaining! I'd rather be working at home than having to drive in in this cr@p!

I'm staying home, but I would normally be working from home today anyway, so it doesn't change anything...other than the fact that DH is home also, so it feels like a real snow day.
