newport (would be my top choice)
hamptons (you can get a really great deal at BB&B's and restaurants now, DH and I did this in December years ago and we had a great time)

DH and I drove to Mystic, CT for a 3 day wkend a few years ago. There's alot to do there and it's close to Foxwoods, which was fun.

We'll be staying at the Saybrook Inn and Spa next month. It looks really nice and it's close enough to the casinos or Newport if you wanted to do day trips. We've also stayed at Foxwoods MGM Grand one weekend and had a really good time. AC or Philly make good weekend trips too.

WOOLVERTON INN -- New Hope, PA
It was absolutely breathtaking and the food was phenomenal. What a great, romantic, just the two of us getaway! FABULOUS. Can't wait to go back!!!!

Equinox Spa in Manchester VT. It was really nice and there is a lot to do no matter what the season. Or you can do nothing and totally pamper yourself in the spa, sit by the fire with a drink, shop (outlets down the street), etc.
