Smithtown Residents
DH and I are looking (just started) in Smithtown and have questions regarding the schools. There are so many elementary schools and I think 2 high schools. Are some better than others? Any insight would really be appreciated! Thx!

I grew up in Smithtown and went to the school when it was combined into 1 high school and 1 middle school. Then the schools got too crowded and they split them back up.
Honestly all Smithtown schools are awesome. Very highly ranked in the State. Also there are houses in Smithtown address but Hauppague schools. They will def have lower taxes.

Hi,
I currently live in smithtown and have a child in the district. We are in the Dogwood elementary school. I can not say enough good things about this school. If you go on the smithtown school district website there is a school report card of each of the schools in the district. We are actually in the process of selling out home and I'm sad to leave the district. Any questions FM me.

By September they are saying that they will be closing one of three of the elementary schools in the Smithtown area. They are not sure which one it will be as of yet.
