Re: procida tile?

I have never used them but because of their ads in Newsday (and the guy who owns the place apologizing for the ads and THEN continuing to place them after that) I would never even go to that place.

Re: procida tile?

we used them to purchase our tile - it was a good price for the tile we wanted - we had our guys install it and we picked it up ourselves

just double check your order - they forgot to give the grout color to me right away and i had to go back but no problems after that

The ads in the Newsday ALWAYS have half naked girls in them. I guess someone complained and the owner (YOUNG guy who maybe took over the company from his parents--???) apologized that he would run "classier" ads. Yeah, that lasted for about 2 seconds and then back to the girls.

Re: procida tile?

We used them. It took FOREVER to get our tile in. It was one thing after the other. We were extremely patient but it was a nightmare.

On the other hand - I LOVE our tile.

Re: procida tile?

We used them. What a nightmare.

We ordered on a Saturday. We were told we would have it on Thursday. Thursday came and went, no tile. We were told, "Next Thursday." No tile. We did this for a month. I ask to cancel the order, and for a refund. They say NO.

I call on the 4th Thursday, and am put on hold. After being on hold for about 10 minutes, the girl comes back on the phone and asks me WHAT COLOR the tile is Chat Icon I tell her, hold for 10 more minutes, and am then told NO, tile is not in.

At this point, DH is completely incensed. He goes down there that Saturday, when the place is packed, and starts asking loudly about the tile. When the guy tries to brush him off, DH starts telling potential customers who were browsing the showroom about our situations. Guy tells him if he doesn't leave he's going to call the police. DH badges him and says, "Go ahead. Bet they side with me." At this point, our tile magically appears from the back room.

No, I would NOT recommend them. We used the location on Commack Road (not sure if it's considered Deer Park or Commack).

Re: procida tile?

Sorry, another awful experience here.
Service is awful.

I recently had a great experience at Cancos in Bethpage. Great prices, really work with you. No problems with exchanges or refunds. Ask for Billy the manager.

Re: procida tile?

They owed my company money. They never paid.

Cancos tile is actually owned by females. I have never used them but they always pay on time Chat Icon

Went there and was rubbed the wrong way by the super salesy guys,
Got a great deal on the same tile (white carrerra marble) with Cancos, along with tile for 3 bathrooms have no complaints at all.

Thanks, we have used cancos before and unfortunately they didn't have what we were looking for. We'll see I already ordered the tile...if we run into problems we put it on AMEX so I will be very quick to stop the payment if they give us any issues

Re: procida tile?

I've used the Deer Park location multiple times - never a problem.

My dad is a contractor, has used them for years, no problem for him either.
