Another Northport/East Northport question
We are starting our househunt in those areas. We aren't totall familiar with the area. Are there any less desireable neighborhoods that we should stay away from? I'm really looking for candid opinions. Please feel free to FM me if you feel more comfortable.

Re: Another Northport/East Northport question
I grew up in Northport and really don't think there is an area where I absoutley wouldn't live. There are areas that have bigger lots and nicer houses but no real bad area.
East Northport - i wouldnt want to live near the tracks. you can hear the whistle just about anywhere in town but it would be way to loud right near the tracks.

Re: Another Northport/East Northport question
I live in East Northport, but way south, in the Commack SD. The houses are a bit close together up by the station, too. It really all depends on what you want. Going up further north, would have added too much time to my commute, so we looked closer to Jericho. If a commute isn't an issue for you, I would go further north. I love it up by 25A.
