SAHM's how do you get through the day when YOU'RE sick

I have the most awful sinus infection. I started taking antibotics on Sunday, but its only getting worse. I have 101 fever, my entire face hurts, even chewing hurts by my ear. I have a 2.5 and 4 year old and I just can't take it today. THey don't nap anymore, so I just put them in DS's crib to play and tried to rest for a bit. I don't have any family to help. How do you get through the days when you are really not feeling well.

I had the stomach virus a few weeks ago and DH worked from home because I could not function.

i don't know how you do it.

I have the worst morning/all day sickness right now and I only have ONE DS (17 mos) - he has a cold and napped for 4 hrs today, that was my saving grace.

i just got over being sick..
i had the worst cold

it is a tough task to take care of the kids while being sick.. i hope you feel better soon

i can't even give you good advice because i can put my kids in the exersaucer..

I blow up the airmatress and we veg in the living room. It sucks, but it works.

I'd bring them into my bedroom, shut the door and let them play while I rested on the bed.

DH now has the opportunity to work from home, but, only if he REALLY has to. He does not take advantage of it.

There was one day over the summer I asked him to PLEASE stay home and he did.
Otherwise, I try my very best to get thru the day.

BARELY

I am so sick, and so are all 3 kids. We are all just laying around. Landon has been watching movies alllll day which is so unlike my house.

I put on DS' fave movies all day long when we are sick. I don't like to do that normally, but I need him to sit still. I will give him anything he wants
The babies are harder, but I will gate them in the LR and put out their fave toys and ignore the mess.

Oh God, the worst time for us happened a few weeks ago. DH and I got a stomach virus at the same time--at least DS was over it already. But neither one of us was really able to function well at all.

So DS had lots of:

TV
DVDs (he was big on Frosty and Rudolph at the time)
Stickers
Anything else that was easy and interested him

It's hard, no doubt about it. I honestly think it's easier to be at work sick than home with a young child (or children).
