Breastfeeding/Pumping question

Random question...

I have been breastfeeding and pumping twice a day too. I have noticed one breast when I pump gets a lot more milk than the other.

Is this normal???????????????

I wonder then when I am breastfeeding if she is getting enough from that breast??

Re: Breastfeeding/Pumping question

I'm no expert but I think its normal and pretty common. My left breast pumps significantly more than my right.

Totally normal. My right always has more. The pump is not a good indicator of your milk supply though. The baby can get much more than what you can pump. I can only pump very little but my DD is 5 months, EBF, and in the 90%tile in weight. I'm sure your baby is doing just fineChat Icon just remember to alternate breasts though each time you feed.

YES - the whole time I BF'd one always had more than the other.

I think because during the first couple weeks of cluster feeding, i would always feed him on the left side so that my right hand would be free (that's my dominant hand) to cook, eat, etc. Chat Icon

I'm very right-breasted Chat Icon I always produce more in it than the left...
