Thank you so much Kelly - we rarely turn the tv on and with the holidays it hasn't been on in days. Thank goodness I checked lif on my phone. Chat Icon

DH's company should put you on payroll - he just called a "snow emergency" and has 20 people going in today to prepare. They have a major sale on Tuesday and it would be a disaster if they didn't prepare early. Thanks again!

Hey, Kelly, what about the Philly peeps in the house? Will it be just as bad? They don't seem to be playing it up quite as bad around here... false delusion?

I could be wrong here, but I think the wind isn't supposed to be as bad there. Since this is a coastal storm, winds will be bad the closer you are to it. You are still getting a fair amount of snow, but I think the winds won't be as fierce.

ETA: I just looked at your area quickly and winds are supposed to be around 20-25 mph with snowfalls around 9-14 inches. That still sucks. Chat Icon But since your winds are 'calm' compared to what LI will be seeing, there is no blizzard warning out for you.

Alright. The weather dork in me just has to add this. There is a potential for 'banding' on Sunday.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN KELLY? Will Paul McCartney get together with Ringo Starr?!?!?

Thank you for the update Kelly. I hate that I'll have to use yet another sick day but it's a good thing you're around or else I wouldn't know ahead of time that I'd need to use one Chat Icon

I tried to reason with DH..we "needed" cold cuts.

We could feed a family of 10 for a week with what we currently have in our house..and there are only two of us but God forbid we should run out of chili sauce.Chat Icon

We did too. Then to Lowes for some storage bins and it was a zoo with people buying snowblowers, shovels and salt.

Thanks for the updates. I just got an email that NJ Transit is already operating on a modified weekend schedule tomorrow (on my line there are trains hourly during rush hour and every other hour during the day).
