Children and body scanners/patdowns..
How is the TSA handling children? Anyone go through with a toddler yet? Are they being patted down too?

I don't know how they are handling it. I'd like to know though.

Re: Children and body scanners/patdowns..
Children have been patted down as well. There was a video they showed on Inside Edition of a 3 year old who had a toy that set the detector off and they subjected him to a pat down. He was very upset by it and did not want to be touched, but the TSA did it anyway.
So it appears no one is off limits.

This is unbelieveable! All this is teaching our children is that if a uniformed person says they have to touch you, we have to let them because they say so. It's unreal!

But on the flip side, if kids were the exception to the rule, then they would also be the ones used by terrorirsts.

I absolutely agree. Terrorists won't stop short of using children. Do all you can to make sure they don't trigger the alarm. Shoes off, no toys, no belts, etc.

Re: Children and body scanners/patdowns..
I just came back from a week in a aruba with my DH 3 yr old and 1 yr old and went through the old fashion x-ray machines both ways!
Never had a pat down or asked to go in the body scanners!
