Buying make up...

I am in desperate need of buying all new make up products. Could you please share where you buy your make up?

Thanks!

DEF Sephora.. it's the best! I don't use solely one brand, so it's the best place for me!

ITA, sephora all the way. Ask for samples so you can test things out. They will give you a generous sample of a lot of different foundations if you need to try a few. Join their beauty club, you will get some good coupons every so often.

Re: Buying make up...

As a person who cannot afford all Sephora make-up, I purchase different things from here and there. The only make-up items I really spend money on are my powder/brushes from Bare Escentuals and my mascara from Sephora. Otherwise, I purchase my make-up from Duane Reade.

Re: Buying make up...

I usually buy from Sephora because I use both Sephora and Clinque brands.

i just had a lancome makeover at a beauty event in Lord and taylor.

It was great and the makeup artist told me excatly what products she used to achieve the same look

I bought most of the makeup items and it was 10% off with friends and family

I like to mix & match brands so I usually hit Sephora, Duane Reade & Mac, but if you want just want brand, Mac might be a good choice.

They have a variety of shades of foundation, their eyeshadows & eyeliners stay on really well. They aren't crazy pricey either. More than drug store brands, but less than some Sephora or department store brands.

I'd still get mascara at Duane reade though--just b/c it is something you probably replace often.

Most my makeup comes from Sephora, except for my Mascara is drug store brand (Maybelline) Brands I use the most: Stila, Smashbox, and Nars.

Re: Buying make up...

Total mix - I get my shadows from Ulta (their brand) and MAC. Foundation (powder and tinted moisturizer) is from Ulta (PA and Smashbox brands). Lip gloss is Stila. Mascara is always, always Maybelline. Liners are Urban Decay.

Your best bet is really Sephora, especially because they will have online coupons occasionally, and they don't take coupons for the pretige cosmetics at Ulta.

I love the Clinique counter. Its not intimidating at all and they are helpful. I also think its just great quality makeup.

I buy everywhere...Sephora, CVS, Walgreens, Target...whatever works, I buy, regardless of where it comes from.

I am a MAC girl all the way, but I will dibble and dabble with Sephora's eye shadows occasionally.

Eyeliner is the only thing I buy from the drugstore
