Found a house...now what?

I have never bought a house...we found one and now we want to make an offer....should we get prequalified first? Make the offer first then shop for a mortgage?

Do we just make the offer verbally?

Are you working with a buyer's agent? I HIGHLY recommend that...they will take care of contacting the listing agent and all of that. It's a good thing to have someone working for YOU.

Absolutely get prequalified first. Do you have a real estate agent? He/she would be able to assist you with all of this. I believe we had paperwork when we put our offer in.

First step would be a mortgage pre-approval

But before that I would look for a realtor to help you as a buyers agent if it's not to late

Did you see the house by calling the listing agent? Did yoiu sign a disclosure?

I can not stress enough the importance of having a buyers agent in today's market

First- it cost you nothing out of pocket! And you are one bringing the money to the closing- shouldn't you have someone looking out for you?

The listing agent represents the seller and will look out for their best interest only

Some of the things a good buyers agent does (that I do for my clients) comps, taxes, mortgage history, school district info, help during the inspection, help during the mortgage process. I could go on and on

Plus I negioate the deal to get you the best price....it's what I do every day- I come up with creative solutions to make everyone happy all the time
