Eyebrow locations in Suffolk
I would really like to find a place that knows what they are doing and do eyebrows perfectly. I'm looking in the Western Suffolk area but I am willing to travel some. I recently went threw a bad experience and am a little upset and would like to find a good place now... Story below if your interested..
I went to the Benefit counter at the Smithaven Mall Macy's and I am pretty upset. I went there about 3 times. First time she told me to grow my hair in because I've been doing it myself and you tend to favor one eye more than the other she says that is why mine weren't the same shape. Second time, she said they were looking good but still needed to fill in some spots by letting the hair grow in and she suggested I go thick that that is in now.. So this time I let them grow in so I look like I've never touched my eyebrows before, lol and now she totally didn't listen to me and she is the one who didn't shape them both the same way and favored one brow more than the other, they are not the same shape! like what gives lady you had plenty of brow hair to work with... grrr..

I will only go to Daria at Nature's Touch in Setauket. She is amazing, she fixed up my eyebrows when they got all messed up. SIL and some of my friends go to her too and wont go to anyone else. She does threading and waxing.

Re: Eyebrow locations in Suffolk
Ok, I have a question for all the ladies.. I've walked by the kiosks with the threading, I see its done with some sort of string but how does it feel? How does that actually work? I cannot do waxing, my skin is way too sensitive and I can only do tweezing so would threading be better for me?

Where exactly is this?
It's on 25a a little east of the Wild By Nature shopping center. Threading does not hurt at all and it's not like in the malls where you have to help them. Daria does it all herself and it's quick. She threads trims your eyebrows, threads the tops, waxes underneath and then tweezes to finish. I'm sure she'd do all threading if you asked. But I have sensitive skin and in 5+ years never had a problem going to Daria.

sorry for the delay. I didn't think to check back here until now. Here is the site daisy spa
It is on middle country just west of Nicolls rd. Daisy Spa is the name. She is awesome. Doesn't hurt at all and she doesn't double dip. Also it is not regular wax so it is not really hot and it doesn't stick to your skin. The place is spotless. I will never go anywhere else ever again. I get my eyebrows threaded and a monthly wax .

I do not like going to the mall kiosks for threading.
But IMO threading is just so much better for sensitive skin than waxing and tweezing!
The threading works in that the thread drags across the area and pulls multiple hairs out at once vs one by one with tweezing. It's better than waxing, because with waxing, you are ripping layers of skin off and doing that over an extended period can lead to wrinkles.
I have stopped waxing all together and ONLY do threading now and am very happy with the choice. (And I have some serious brows. )
Two good locations in W. suffolk are in Bay Shore. Spa85 on Main Street does threading and the girl is very good.
Right now I go to The Tanning Hut on Sunrise Hwy., in the Bally's Fitness shopping center in Bay Shore.
This video shows you more about threading: Link

It is a very small place the owner, Didi is the only one there. She is the threader, waxer and receptionist. She is closed on Sunday and Monday but other then that you call and you will get her. I never have a problem getting an apt and when I go I wait maybe 5 minutes max.
