Re: LED lighting-anyone using it?
My dad put them in my parents house in the kitchen. I personally don't like them because I feel like it gives off that blueish white light.
We did however buy them for our lamp post that we have in the yard because they do not attract bugs. For outside I like them.

if its blue its more then likely the CFL not LED, usually LED is really white. the previous owners of my house used CFL's everywhere and everything always had a bluish tint until we replaced them. I hate CFL's

Re: LED lighting-anyone using it?
I have them in all our recessed lighting. We got the ones from HD that were on sale, with the included trim. I would challenge anyone to tell me which one is LED and which is incandescent. When I started swapping them out, I couldn't tell the difference. I do have one very white LED bulb directly over a desk, so we have even more light for that one area.
I'm slowing changing a lot of my bulbs to LEDs where I can.

I was hoping you would respond! thats the exact ones we got. they were on sale for $34 a light instead of $49 they come with the trim and everything
Glad you like them! there was a display with the lights on and they were next to a regular light bulb, we couldn't tell the difference
Have you been able to find them in regualr sizes? I can't seem to find them in store

I bought 10 of those bulbs... I haven't been able to find affordable standard bulb replacements yet. I didn't mind spending $35 for the can lights since the regular bulbs are usually around $10 anyway.
Right now, I have a hard time justifying $30+ dollars to replace a $1.00 bulb. When prices come down, I'll definitely be replacing my CFLs with LEDs.

that's my issue, I saw them online for $29 a bulb and I 'm not spending that. I'll keep my eyes out for them and let you know if I see anything less expensive

HD sells the light bulbs now. some are a lot of $ but they now carry the same brand as the high hats in a lightbulb form it was $17. I have a pendant light over my sink in the kitchen and all the high hats are the LED so I didn't want to mix in a regular bulb. I think thats a decent price. It looks just like a standard light bulb
