Caring for leather seating sets?? Is this going to suck?

I PURPOSELY got leather, even though I am not a big "leather" person, because I figured with a toddler and a baby on the way, leather is probably the way to go.

My darling son managed to already scratch a day-old chair with a Matchbox car or something - I have no idea what.. There is now a 6 inch swipe mark on the seat portion. It looks like a scratch. I tried wiping it away, didn't work.

Is this just how it goes with leather? I'm so aggravated. How do I take care of it, anyway? Any tips?

and yes, I got the protection plan, but I'm not up to calling up Raymour & Shennanigans just yet.

.....and my sofa is STILL NOT HERE YET.

I cannot give you advice how to remove the scratch but you can call R & F and they will be able to tell you have to remove it if you can. The salesman told me that is the first step before they come to your house.

I feel the same way about leather but DH was like with the baby we need it!! Now that she is a toddler YES I LOVE LEATHER everything just wipes off plus we use pledge on it to clean once a week.

My dog loves to scratch up our leather couch. The scratches are never too deep so I dont know if it'll work for you, but we use a leather conditioning spray that DH bought at an auto supply store and it always buffs the scratches right out.

Try Pledge.

I used Pledge on my leather recliner chair.

Also I think Pledge makes wipes or a spray specifically for leather.
