DS picking favorites
My DS is a great little boy (2 1/2) he loves his family but recently has become super attached to my father- his pa. If Pa is around he wants nothing to do with me, DH, my mom or anyone else. He tells us to go away, yells at us, etc. It is really starting to bother me. I mostly feel bad for my mom because if "Pa" is not around DS is perfect for her. Is this a phase? I really hope it is normal, anyone else experience this?

My DS is like this with my Dad. He adores my father. When my father is around, he only wants to be with my Dad. I actually dont see anything wrong with it. I love that he is so close with my father. Now DS is 3 1/2 and my mother has just accepted that when Poppy is around she takes a back seat

That would upset me too. DS doesnt get mean to anyone else...still hugs and kisses my mom when she comes in and will play with my mom. But obviously favors my dad.
Maybe getting down on his level and telling him he is hurting his grandma's feeling and that Grandma loves him too.
Has she tried bribing him bringing him a toy or something he is interested in. Sometimes my mom will do that...buy him something she see's in the store and tell him "Look what Nanny got you" and he'll take it and say thank you and than bring it over to my dad and say "Look Poppy"
