LV Fake
I know, I know... 
So I can't believe I'm asking this, but it's just been so long. I have wanted the speedy 30 or 35 in the ebony checkerboard for about 3 years now. DH cannot justify spending $800 on a bag, and when I think about our bills, I kind of agree (which I would never tell him  )
It's time for a fake. A REALLY good fake.
Usually I'm 100% against fakes, but I really want this bag...

I am dying for one too but I cant justified fake.. I actually just got a coin counter in which I am putting all of my change and with that (and extra money I get someday lol) I will buy a my bag.. IT will take time but oh well

I'd save for a real one - IMO there is just no point in a fake LV.
Some things you can get away w/ a knock off or similar style that still looks fab w/o spending the designer price tag - for something like a LV, that is just known for it's shape and monogram, a fake it just too obvious.

You guys are totally right. I'm anti-fake too, however, I feel like I'm never going to get this bag.
I would be open to a preowned one. Would I just search on ebay for "preowned LV?"

Random ques but do you know anyone going to Italy anytime soon? If so, they are 1/2 the price there. I got my speedy in Rome for $475.

Buy mine instead. It's not the speedy but it's very adorable. Its authentic. Practically new... here's the old ebay link that just ended... I need to get rid of this bag

All my LVs came with the authenticity card. Not saying people can't forge them, but with ebay you have buyer's protection. If you buy one and aren't sure, I'd contact an LV store and let them know you purchased a pre-owned one on ebay and want to verify that it's authentic. If it's not, you can contact the seller for your money back.
ETS: To the OP, create some sort of LV bag fund for you, whether it's a piggy bank or something. If you usually buy your lunch, bring it and throw your lunch money into that fund. Stuff like that to build your savings so you can get your real bag.

Yup. The last 2 times I was there they were just as expensive as here (with the exhange rate they were actually more  ).

You should also keep on eye on Yoogi's Closet, they have a lot of LV bags for sale. All pre-owned of course, but at discounted prices and I just looked and there are a few speedys for sale.

I waited 5 years for mine... I really wanted it but never wanted a fake.
Why not pool all of your Xmas money, possible bday money, etc - and see how much left you would need for a real LV? Tell family not to buy you anything, but just give you money. That's what I ask my family and they actually appreciate that - one less thing to go out and buy.
By the time you pool it all together, you might only have to shell out a few hundred bucks, which is what you might have spent for a good fake one - KWIM?

This is so funny!! You sounded just like me last year!!! I wanted the Speedy 30 SOOOO bad but my DH laughed at the thought of spending $800 on a pocketbook. I told myself I would have this bag...I found a bunch of old pocketbooks (Coach, Juicy etc...) and put them on ebay, plus some old 7's that didn't fit me anymore. I also found a whole bunch of old jewelery and sold that at my local jeweler. Sure enough I had the $ for my bag and went to buy it asap!! I highly suggest selling stuff on ebay, it's such a rush to see people bid back and forth on your stuff!! Good luck!

I agree w selling your stuff on ebay. I made 200 bucks in November selling Vera Bradley bags that were gifts, an old coach, some barely worn shoes and high end jeans that I wore when I was post pregnancy. You can definitely find a way!

this is true! when I bought mine in Italy and Barcelona they were just as expensive as here.
